On a personal note:

What makes us and our work particularly special, when it comes to designing and creating architectural features.

It may sound a bit unusual, and some people may not agree with this experience and theory, but many years ago, and here I come directly to myself, I had a radical experience in my previously prevailing attitude to life.

At that time I lived again in the USA and was often in Arizona for work. Out of pure interest in the adobe building style and to further deepen my basic knowledge, I contacted the "Native American" community. It was the Hopi, Navajo and Apache tribes that particulary interested me and they all had something in common. The deep inner bond for "Mother" Earth and an unearthly connection that unites all people.

I gladly accepted the offer of various, practice-oriented seminars for the creation of adobe buildings, some of which are very sophisticated architecture.

In these workshops, which often lasted several weeks, not only the techniques and the use of natural materials (such as clay...) were taught, but to my surprise, shamanic rituals were also included, the effect of which is similar to Feng Shui, which is more familiar in our latitudes. I don't just mean that in relation to the orientation of living units and their furnishings. It was more the philosophical integration of humans and nature.

I hadn't expected that, and I would like to briefly summarize here what has not only occupied my mind since then, but what has been reflected and accompanied even more strongly in all of my, or rather our, work since then. Namely, to sense and understand the deep understanding of what customers really expect and want. This can sometimes lead to very in-depth discussions in order to be able to implement expectations in the best possible way and to develop harmonious colour and material ideas.

Every person's "home" is an extremely personal space, a cocoon, so to speak, that surrounds them, a protective element. This space must be designed not only for the project, but above all very individually, person-related.

A wide variety of materials and the colour selection are of crucial importance!

In my experience, people who prefer a more purist (such as cubic) architecture also tend to prefer minimalist interior design and monochrome colour schemes. In the colour palette, white/grey, but currently also a warm beige in combination with grey tones.

People who are very close to nature often prefer creamy and earthy colours, as well as materials such as natural clay... that radiate a certain warmth. They also prefer a cosy environment and a "softer" design architecture.

It shouldn't be overestimated, but the core of it all is, to put it bluntly, to understand clients "from the ground up". Only then can wonderful results be achieved.

This mutual satisfaction is very important to me personally, and that's why I'm happy to go the so-called "extra mile"!

_____________

In eigener Sache:
